Quarantine week 3.
I’m calling it now. This is the week that people are officially going to start going nuts.
Week 1 was cute and fun and was a real-life-snow-week for adults. Last week, people started getting real. This week is when people start losing it or getting better. I mean, it’s getting to me – so I get it.
There’s two ways things go from here.
You give up on home work outs, go full on in to Tiger King and bust out the candy and alcohol and call it in.
OR
You take a deep breath, double down and get after it even more.
You know what to do.
Here’s 5 actionable ways you can come out of the other side of this quarantine BETTER.
Start A Blog
Table of Contents
For a long time, I’ve been running our start a blog tutorial site – StartABlog.com. There’s a free blogging guide and also a done-for-you service. We’ve helped hundreds (if not thousands of people set up their first blogs already).
I wrote on twitter, that this time reminds me a lot of 2009. Lots of downtime, lots of time indoors. You can either burn it on Netflix or use it as jet fuel to get better and reinvent yourself.
I think blogging is the best way to do that. Starting a blog was the best thing I ever did as it not only taught me how to write and communicate my thoughts, but it also taught me to look at my life like a story. And when I did that – everything started to change.
Live Yoga with MoveWell
If you’re working from home – you’re going to drive yourself nuts. If you want to improve your range of motion, get up and stretch, fix your body mechanics, you should check out MoveWell (if you haven’t already). It’s getting better every week with more routines, more movements, and we just launched launched live Yoga with Nina Yau. You can join at 3:30pm CT every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for live yoga. 30 minute sessions – so there’s no reason not to take a break and MOVE.
Whatever you do, don’t come out the other side of this quarantine with lumbago.
Learn To Cook At Home
I am not going out to eat nearly as much as I was. If that’s you, and you’re realizing you actually need to learn how to cook, our team just relaunched our meal planning service at UltimateMealPlans.com with more plans than ever. A short, partial list of plans offered include:
- Keto Plans
- Paleo Plans
- AIP Plans
- Low Carb Plans
- Clean Eating Plans
- Banting Plans (for you South Africans)
They’re all designed to be easy to make with under 5 ingredients and 15 minutes, so even if you’re illiterate in the kitchen, you can still make it work.
There’s a whole bunch of real-food focused meal plans so you’re bound to find something you like. You might even learn to finally cook?
Write The Damn Thing
If there’s ever been a time for you to be creative, you’re looking at it.
If you’ve ever said, “I just don’t have time”, guess what? Now you do.
You never get to say that excuse again.
Write the thing. Finish it. Get it done.
I’m speaking to myself here mostly 😉
Ship The Product
I’m going to share the first physical product in a long time in April. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. I’ll have mockups for you in a week. Pre-orders coming soon. Let’s go.
Again, there’s always a crossroads. There’s always a choice. Most people don’t realize it because it’s easy to slide into mediocrity after putting up a valiant fight for a whole two weeks. Don’t quit, keep going, stay after it.
Two More Things
I’m doing weekly checkins on periscope & Instagram live if you want to join me and get a short workout in. It’s mostly a workout & hangout session – so grab a dumbbell or kettlebell and join in.
On a completely different note than usual, two weeks ago, I did a short talk for the BeardBrand annual Alliance Con. Afterwards, they shot a hair & beard cut on their channel of 1.5M subscribers.
Here’s a preview
Apparently, my video has nearly 80,000 views in the first few days! That’s more than our Welcome to IMPOSSIBLE video – man! You can click the link above or get the full BTS story on my instagram here.
Stay after it. Keep pushing.
