This month I crossed a new item off the impossible list – walking the red carpet. Here’s what happened.
IMPOSSIBLE Sponsored a Film
Over the years, we’ve sponsored all soft of extreme, crazy and niche athletes from around the world. One of the ones you might have seen is Ice Cross.
It’s the gnarliest sport on ice that you’ve never heard of. We’ve featured them on the IMPOSSIBLE channel over the past few years and it’s started to take off.
After doing a dry run with the league the year before – one of our athletes – Brittan Morris & DJ Kilpatrick decided to film an entire season of the sport – showcasing what it is the athletes put themselves through to compete in a wild, crazy obscure sport when there’s not just money to be won.
What came out was a 90 minute feature film that I think captures the heart & soul of IMPOSSIBLE and shows the reality of what it takes to compete in something like Ice Cross.
The Premiere itself was awesome. Held at the Austin Film Society – there was a red carpet, catering and 150 people in attendance.
Afterwards, there was an afterparty at WTF Icehouse with Netherhour and we even did a special cocktail collaboration with Impossible Energy & El Bandido Yankee Tequila (another sponsor of the athletes).
It was pretty dope. The guys did a great job and it was fun to see something come together that had been over a year in the making.
This type of thing is easier to show than tell, so here are some of the memorable shots of the event.
