Taking photos 30,000 feet in the air, of course.
Actually, I’ve been laying low and relaxing after running my half-ironman in Miami. Between that, coming back to Milwaukee, flying to Denver and back, moving and trying to find some sleep and some time to relax, I’ve been keeping pretty busy. That said, have no fear! There’s a lot of really, awesome stuff on the horizon. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s coming up.
IMPOSSIBLE: The Manifesto
Table of Contents
// Not actually impossible //
It’s almost done – I promise.
We’re finalizing design revisions and I’ll be ramping up stuff for launch in early December. In fact, I’m so confident, that I’m putting a date out there: LOOK OUT.
December 6th
Yes. Yes. I’ve said it before, but this time it’s coming. And that’s all I have to say about that. For now…
Mystery Projects #1 & #2
Besides the manifesto, I’ve been quietly working on a few other projects behind the scenes. They’re not quite ready to be talked about publicly yet (I’ve learned my lesson on prematurely announcing project dates!) but they should be confirmed pending a few minor details. This is basically a lot of words to tell you very little, but just a reminder that in case you thought that my launch, launch, launch fest from a month back was done, this is a little public service announcement that it’s not.
Triathlon Training & Transition Workouts
Triathlon season is over (insert sad face here). Unfortunately, it’s getting really freaking cold outside. I’ll go on the occasional run now and then, but I’m a little tired of running for now, and looking to switch it up.
So, for the next few months, I’ll be taking a “break” and giving CrossFit a try. It’s been intriguing to me for a while now and I want to see what all the fuss is about, as well as gain back a little of the strength I lost from all this swimming, biking and running I’ve been doing lately. I did my first CrossFit class last night and it was a lot of fun and incredibly painful (mostly just painful). But, in my never-ending quest to never be comfortable, this is definitely something outside my comfort zone that will be stretching me.
October Challenge Winner
We had 45 people sign up for the inaugural challenge. We had some amazing stories take place over the last month. Congratulations to Chad. In October he began meditating for 30 minutes straight, donated $500 to Kiva ($500!) and learned to fly (read the story to find out what I mean). And his was just ONE of 45 stories that happened in the league in October. You can check them all out and read through all of them. We’ll be running a survey to see how we can make this even better in the upcoming months, but initial results seem to be pretty good and based on the reports from everyone, it seems like a lot of people were challenged to do something adventurous and tell a great story this month. Congrats again Chad – send me your address & t-shirt size and we’ll get an impossible shirt sent your way. #BOOM.
Kiva Lending Team
An unofficial league initiative that we’ve been pushing the last few weeks has been the Impossible League KIVA lending team. In just a little over a month, we’ve lent almost $1500. FIFTEEN FREAKIN’ HUNDRED DOLLARS! That is pretty awesome. If you haven’t gotten involved, jump over to KIVA and check it out. You can lend to entrepreneurs anywhere in the world for as little as $25. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. If you’re interesting, you can join the team and start lending here.
As always, you guys are freaking awesome. You make this an awesome site, HQ and community to lead, write for, and be a part of. Thanks :).

Crossfit! Yes!
I’ve just finished Rank 2 of the Dumbbell Division of Nerd Fitness fame and am headed back to Crossfit this week. Glad I won’t be suffering through the pain alone.
🙂

I personally love crossfit! It has done wonders for me in losing weight and building up my strength.
Just today I decided to bust out pull ups and was able to do 38 (with short breaks). Never have I been able to do so well at those…
Anyway good luck with that!

Thanks Chris. I think it’s really going to do a good job of stretching me and pushing me outside my comfort zone. Should be fun!
