Yeah…that’d be cool. That’d be cool.
I want to be this. I want to be that.
Grab your f–king nuts and be it.

Everyone talks about what they want.
Everyone talks about the freedom they want.
About the rights that they have.
About the life that they “deserve.”
No one talks about what they want to give up to get it.
No one talks about what responsibility they want to take on.
What type of load they want to carry.
What work they’re willing to put in.
Because – despite what you might see.
Wanting something isn’t enough. Wishing isn’t enough.
Hope is not a strategy.
There is no good story without sacrifice. There’s no growth without pain. A tree cannot grow in all directions at once.
You have to pick a path.
You’re going to have to sacrifice something.
- Sleep.
- Energy.
- Free Time.
- Unencumbered Freedom.
- Luxury.
- Travel.
- Comfort.
You’re going to have to put something on the chopping block.
It’s easy to talk about what you want.
Here’s something: try talking about what you’re willing to give up instead.
Figure out if it’s worth it.
Then give it up and go after what you want.

One of the best articles of yours I’ve ever read! Short and sweet, with so much to be learned and thought about. Thank you, Mr. Runyon!
