Every time you do something impossible, a little voice in the back of your head pipes up. Sometimes the voice is loud. Sometimes it’s soft. But it’s always there.
I’m not fast enough to run an ultra marathon.
I don’t have the kind of body you need to get abs or lose weight.
I don’t have rich parents, so I can’t start my own venture-backed company.
I’m too tall, too short, too skinny, too fat.
Whichever reasons it gives, the voice is always saying:
I can’t do it.
I don’t have enough experience.
I’m not strong enough.
I’m not smart enough.
I can’t…
(Yet)
But I will be able to soon.
See how everything changes?
Who you were ≠ who you are.
Who you are ≠ who you can become.
“Everything is impossible until it’s done.” – Nelson Mandela

Note To Self #718: little words have big power. Drafting the right message for the self-talk ticker-tape is critical.
Adding that one word, “yet,” instantly reshapes the conversation.
Thanks for articulating that concept so succinctly.

Shakespeare said…” Fatigue makes cowards of us all” if you are overwhelmed, and trying to do everything at once, everything seems impossible.

That looks like a fancy excuse, if you want to do a lot of things, you do it, one thing or one thousand.

Can’t argue with that.
